Abstract

Education is a key pillar in the social and economic development of a country. However, the challenge of providing equitable education remains a reality in many parts of the world, including for immigrant children. This article explores efforts to empower Indonesian immigrant children who face barriers to education through international community engagement in the context of KKN at Sanggar Belajar Subang Mewah, Malaysia. It uses a qualitative approach with a focus on analyzing the role of the international community in overcoming barriers to immigrant childrens access to education. The results provide insight into the potential contribution of international service-learning in improving the quality of education and well-being of immigrant children.
